Adams Liberty Mugs were commissioned by Liberty & CO. Regent St. London in 1975 with Staffordshire firm Adams launching the yearly tradition of an earthenware mug decorated with Liberty archive designs of flowers, exotic birds and oriental patterns on a background of the old Liberty trademark duck-egg blue.

Poole Pottery took over in 1998 and Mason’s in 2005, with a 1975-79 commemorative mug by Burleigh. Having a three-year hiatus between 2008 and 2010 when none were produced (Liberty was under new management) their renaissance in 2011 changed and they started to be made from fine bone china. The Liberty mugs prove that an everyday object can be a thing of beauty – and collectable, too.
