Named Empress – The shape is styled after that of fine English pewter and hand made sterling silver of the Empire period (1804-15). Featuring a white ironstone body with inner ribbed detail, the pattern was introduced in the first decade of the twentieth century and was still made after Adams & Sons was purchased by Wedgwood on 1st January 1966 up until 1984.
